About Us

On November 14, 2006, we opened a small boutique in Galena, Illinois that soon began to grow a following of repeat customers. We sell overstock, closeouts, and have some wholesalers willing to work with us on a small scale so we can take clothes, jewlery, purses and shoes to mix and match and ultimately create stylish outfits at an affordable price; because being stylish is to have fun, which is what we want for our customers.
We search far and wide endlessly to find the best items at the lowest price so we can pass that savings on to our customers: hence the name Savvy Scavengers.
We continuously buy small quantities so we can constantly update our offering of fresh looks that not seemingly everyone has from the large department stores...we're unique.
Our customers range from those seeking a bargain to those looking for a stylish flair whether a high school student, a teacher, or a millionaire. Sizes range from size 0 up.
As of October 1, 2009, we opened a second store in Dubuque, Iowa. Our stores are similar in style, but carry different items in each, to keep customers wanting more...Come find our finds!
